My name is Markko Karu. I am a designer with 25 years of experience working to help businesses to innovate and improve. I have co-founded two design companies, several start-ups, provided numerous training and consultancy services to over 200 companies in Estonia and worldwide.
Value proposition design and visualisation
Companies talk too much (and mostly) about themselves. I help to find out what interests their customers and tell it as simply as possible.

Service design
A service is user-centric if a user understands what is offered, how it benefits her and how to order without external help. I help to see service interactions from the customers' point of view and how to reach that state.

Process design
I help companies to be more efficient by making sense of each step in the process and why they occur in current order. Mapping processes in easy to read form has proven to be a great team-building and knowledge-sharing exercise.

Product concepts
Technology has made possible most of the new services that were unimaginable just a few decades ago. To embrace the change, companies need to imagine the future first. You start with a prototype, add detail and gradually end up with something that shapes the world as we know it.
